When a client exports their data, the resulting PDF is structured for professional review. Every page carries server-issued metadata and every entry carries a cryptographic fingerprint that you can verify independently.

Three properties that distinguish a Parentlog record
Tamper-Evident Records
Every entry carries a unique 64-character digital fingerprint calculated by Parentlog's servers from the exact content at the moment of submission. Each fingerprint allows the exported entry to be checked against the original server-stored record, helping show whether the content has changed since submission.
Independently Verifiable
When a document is generated, Parentlog permanently records the date of export, entry count, date range, and a cryptographic fingerprint of the complete document. The Record Code on the cover lets any third party, including a family law professional, court, or mediator, confirm the document's provenance without contacting either parent.
Permanent Timestamps
Every record carries a timestamp set by our servers at the moment of submission, not by either parent. Neither party can adjust when an entry appears to have been recorded, and no entry can be submitted with a backdated or future-dated timestamp.
Parentlog verifies record integrity, timestamps, and export consistency. It does not independently verify the factual accuracy of user-submitted notes, messages, images, or events, and does not provide legal advice.
What the export may include
Contents depend on the export type requested and the date range selected. A legal professional export includes private records; a co-parent export covers shared records only.

Entry fingerprint check
Each entry in the PDF carries a 64-character hash at the bottom. Paste it at the verification portal to retrieve the original, unaltered text and timestamp directly from Parentlog's servers.

The Record Code printed on the PDF cover confirms when the document was generated, how many entries it should contain, and the date range it covers. This ensures no pages have been added or removed since export.
