Free co-parenting apps in 2026: what's actually still free
Most co-parenting apps have moved to paid plans. An honest, date-stamped answer to which ones are still free right now and what each one costs.

As of August 2026, most dedicated co-parenting apps are no longer free. OurFamilyWizard has always charged per parent. AppClose and TalkingParents both moved away from general free access in 2026. The exception is Parentlog, which is free for founding accounts during a current open window.
OurFamilyWizard
No general free plan. The Entry plan starts at $110 per year per parent, with two parents paying a minimum of $220 per year. Essentials is $149.99 per year per parent, or $299.98 per year for two parents. There is no free trial, although OFW offers a 30-day refund period and fee waivers for qualifying parents.

AppClose
Was free, now paid. AppClose charges $7.99 per month per person through its website, or $8.99 per month through the iOS or Android app. A 60-day no-card trial is available. Free accounts are available for qualifying financial hardship and domestic-violence cases, with discounts for active military members and veterans.

TalkingParents
Was free, now paid. Essentials starts at $7 per month per parent ($77 annually). Unlimited PDF records require the $16/month Enhanced plan or higher. A 30-day free trial is available. The app also requires you to match with your co-parent before you can use it.

Parentlog
Free for founding accounts during the current window. Founding accounts are free for life. After the window closes the price is $4.99 per month or $49 per year per parent.
